JEN SCHOW'S TIPS + TRICKS
- Try using a sketch like this when you have an interesting patterned paper you’d like to showcase.
- Replace strips of paper with rows of stamping or embellishments.
- Make your wood shapes blend with your layout by adding ink or paint to them.
- Sometimes, you don’t need to worry about the journaling. This is a title page for a trip, so I let the embellishments do the talking.

JEN CHAPIN'S TIPS + TRICKS
- Using white modeling paste on white cardstock is a great way to add texture and dimension without distracting from your photo and embellishments.
- Consider changing up the size of the sketch to fit your photos. For this page I used an 8.5x11 canvas instead of a 12x12.
- Typing your journaling and cutting it into strips is a great way to fit it all on your layout while adding a cool design element as well.
